Tai Chi philosophy and practice has existed and been admired for thousands of years without fading. Why? What you are performing is Tai Chi Quan, what you are cultivating is the mind. The motion strengthens your body while the stillness calms your heart.
Tai Chi movement appears slow and gentle. It is because of this ‘moving cloud’ and ‘flowing water’ type of leisure which relaxes our body and mind, lets us feel calm. Every day we go to work at dawn and return at dusk. Our exhausted body numbs our mind and blinds our purified heart.
How do you relieve health concerns to live a life without worry? The answer is Tai Chi. It helps you harness the highest level of peace in the heart and brings you emotional stability and awareness of self. Even if you spend just one hour daily, that counts as a moment of self-cultivation: “within a year you can be confident that you have achieved some expected outcomes, though others may not necessarily notice these changes. Within five years there will be measurable physical and mental differences between yourself and non-practitioners. Beyond the 10 year mark it is likely that there will be a wide gap between two different lives” – D Wang.
In an increasingly prosperous world with rapid advancements in science and technological development, widespread material affluence and ever-changing, fast paced lifestyles practicing Tai chi is a smart choice! Also, remember that whilst it is soft in perception, it contains hidden power – like an iron fist in a velvet glove.
We are currently offering two Tai Chi programs to our community:
